And the details...
Venturing is a Scouts BSA program focused on developing leadership skills in young adults through high adventure!
Venturing Crew 307 was formed in 2011 to serve a growing population of young adults interested in serious fun, high adventure, and Scouting activities above and beyond the Troop level. Chartered by American Legion Dewey Lowman Post 109 and supported by Catonsville United Methodist Church, Crew 307 serves Catonsville-area boys and girls aged 14-21 (or 13 and completed the 8th grade). Our Crew also offers regular activities and events for youth like you!
Interested in Venturing? The Venturing program aims to enable young adults to:
- Experience a program that is fun and full of challenge and adventure.
- Acquire skills in the area of the crew's specialty.
- Experience positive leadership from adult and youth leaders and be given opportunities to take on leadership roles.
- Become a skilled training and program resource for other youth groups.
- Learn to make ethical choices throughout their lives by instilling the values the Scout Oath and Law.
- Have a chance to learn and grow in a supportive, caring, and fun environment.
